Who is this course for?


OpenRail Designer Creation & Design is for those experienced MicroStation users who are looking to create rail projects using OpenRail Designer and wish to know the basics.

What will you learn?


This course introduces the principles of OpenRail parametric design. You will explore how to create rail centreline geometry, place railway corridors and add and modify the connection to the surrounding terrain. You will also learn how to modify track alignment and speed restrictions, create Cant and produce reports.

Length: Two days

Time: 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

Where: Online or in-person

Pre-requisites: This course is intended for experienced MicroStation users who have a good working knowledge of AccuDraw techniques and shortcuts. For those unfamiliar with MicroStation, we recommend attendance of the MicroStation Essentials or the MicroStation Fast Track for CAD Users course.
