Simon has worked for Balfour Beatty Vinci across the HS2 area north main works civils contract for the last 6 years. He is responsible for ensuring that BBV meet HS2’s asset information requirements.
Prior to working on the HS2 scheme, he has worked on numerous National Highways schemes for Balfour Beatty where he was supporting projects with meeting their BIM objectives, including asset data handover.

Collaboration on construction projects is more important than ever. With a number of core requirements around asset identification at each lifecycle stage, Balfour Beatty Vinci have had to collaborate not only with their design partners, but also with system developers and internal customers to ensure that these requirements are met efficiently.
This talk will look at the collaborative effort involved with setting up a common process to meet these requirements as well as some of the more technical aspects of how the process has been implemented.
